Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of broad, demonstrated experience in aircrew Standardization and Evaluation (Stan/Eval) support within a USAF or DoD flying squadron environment

Security Clearance

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance with a minimum Tier 3 Security Investigation and current enrollment in Continuous Vetting

Systems Proficiency

  • Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in the Graduate Training Integration Management System (GTIMS) and the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS), or their future equivalent systems, as well as locally developed computer database systems

Regulatory Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of AFMAN 11-202V2, AFMAN 11-2MDS-V2, associated MAJCOM/Installation supplements, and locally developed Stan/Eval guidance

Stan/Eval Management

  • Proven ability to maintain flight testing materials; manage aircrew evaluation records, grade books, and check ride schedules; generate qualification-level reports; and interface with Wing Stan/Eval (OGV) and Standardization Evaluation Boards (SEB)

Background Check

  • Must consent to DataMax background checks and comply with all DAF and local rules, procedures, and standards of conduct

Key Responsibilities

The Aircrew Stan/Eval Specialist serves as the primary standardization and evaluation support professional within a MAF flying squadron, ensuring that all aircrew members maintain current evaluations, testing requirements, and qualification certifications through precise records management, proactive notifications, and accurate reporting.

  • Maintain flight testing materials and ensure their currency, accuracy, and accessibility for squadron evaluators
  • Update data in GTIMS, future equivalent systems, and locally developed computer database systems as required
  • Maintain paper or digital aircrew records (as applicable) and complete annual reviews of members’ records
  • In-process and out-process squadron members in the records system as required
  • Interface with Host Aviation Resource Management (HARM) and Squadron Aviation Resource Management (SARM) personnel to update ARMS or future equivalent systems
  • Coordinate with the training officer to review and update student and permanent party records, folders, and grade books per AFMAN 11-202V2, AFMAN 11-2MDS-V2, and associated MAJCOM/Installation supplements
  • Notify crewmembers, scheduling, and unit leadership of upcoming and overdue testing, evaluation, and training requirements via e-mail, telephone, or in person
  • Provide the Squadron Check Ride Status Report and evaluation and testing status and trend data reports
  • Provide data to OGV for the Standardization Evaluation Board (SEB) and as required by the Squadron Commander (Sq/CC) or OGV
  • Provide GTIMS shells for AF Form 8 (Certification of Aircrew Qualification)
  • Provide data for monthly Squadron Training Review Panels (STRP) and Squadron Certification Boards
  • Provide the Aircrew Qualification Level Summary (Letter of Xs) and copies of work and final documents to Wing Current Operations (OSO) and Wing Stan/Eval (OGV)
  • Conduct monthly reviews of assigned/attached crewmember evaluation dates and provide updates on completion progress IAW AFI and local guidance
  • Update training and readiness status of squadron personnel monthly and attend applicable training meetings
  • Update the squadron Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) program with every new publication release and Flight Crew Information File (FCIF) release

General Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior U.S. Air Force military service or prior contractor experience within an AMC flying squadron Stan/Eval shop or Wing OGV office
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Direct experience supporting C-17 Globemaster III, KC-10 Extender, KC-46 Pegasus, C-5M Super Galaxy, or C-130 squadrons
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to brief senior squadron leadership, Wing Stan/Eval, and coordinate across multiple functional areas simultaneously
  • Experience managing AF Form 8 processes, check ride scheduling, and Standardization Evaluation Board preparation

Desired Skills — Aircrew Scheduling Support

  • Experience coordinating with the Training Officer, Training NCO, SARM specialist, Unit Deployment Manager (UDM), and Operations Officer (DO) to arrange schedules that facilitate operations, qualification, upgrade, test, exercise, and continuation training
  • Ability to build long-range and short-range shift schedules ensuring full coverage of all aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel, and supervisor positions
  • Proficiency performing daily updates of scheduling data to compensate for changing conditions and training completion rates
  • Experience producing Flight Authorizations that have cleared the Group Stan/Eval Go-No/Go process
  • Knowledge of computer database scheduling systems, Load Tracker, AFTO 781, and DISS requirements generation
  • Familiarity with Operational Risk Management (ORM) principles per AMCI 90-903 as applied to experience-based aircrew scheduling
  • Experience coordinating with OSO, OST, outside agencies, and higher headquarters for exercises such as RED FLAG, GREEN FLAG, Mobility Guardian, and Weapons School support
  • Ability to produce the weekly Flying Effectiveness Report and Flying Hour Program Report IAW local policy and procedures

Desired Skills — Operations Training Support

  • Experience updating data in GTIMS or future equivalent systems and locally developed computer database systems
  • Proficiency interfacing with HARM and SARM personnel to update ARMS or future equivalent systems
  • Ability to build, review, and update student and permanent party records, folders, and grade books per AFMAN 11-202V1, AFMAN 11-2MDSV1, and associated MAJCOM/Installation supplements
  • Experience coordinating scheduling of classes and exams with external agencies (SFS/CATM, CES/Emergency Management, OSS) to ensure crewmembers meet CRM, ICRM, IRC, and all grounding or pre-deployment training requirements
  • Ability to perform individual gradebook checks of squadron personnel training and ancillary training requirements on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Experience preparing and executing periodic training/testing plans in coordination with the Squadron Director of Training (DOT) Flight Chief
  • Ability to provide daily tracking of upgrade and continuation training accomplishments and prepare weekly summaries for the Operations Officer
  • Experience generating AF Form 2096, Non-Mission Ready (NMR) letters, STRP briefings, 6-Month Training Plan Briefs, Aircrew Probation/Regression Reports, and Semi-Annual Proration Consideration Reports

Desired Skills — Administrative Support

  • Experience assisting flight commanders in providing data to the Commander’s Support Staff in support of task management, fitness, safety, security, supply, and manning programs
  • Ability to prepare, maintain, and disposition administrative reports and correspondence on behalf of flight leadership
  • Experience acting as a point of contact for newly assigned aircrew—orienting them on organizational functions, introducing key personnel, and scheduling initial training/orientation requirements
  • Familiarity with coordinating pre-departure training with deploying personnel through the Unit Deployment Manager (UDM)
  • Knowledge of the DoD Foreign Clearance Guide, AFI 10-403, and AFI 33-332 as they pertain to maintaining mobility/training folders and deployment documentation
  • Experience providing pre-deployment and post-deployment mobility, logistics, security, ancillary training, medical, and dental requirements to the UDM
  • Familiarity with the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) and the Air Expeditionary Force Reporting Tool (ART), including Unit Type Code posturing and individual status updates

Desired Skills — Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Support

  • Hands-on experience performing set-up, maintenance, and restoration on EFB devices, including device activation, password resets, device/application unlocks, and initiating lost mode/device retrieval
  • Proficiency performing set-up, maintenance, and restoration functions on End User Stand Alone (EUSA) devices IAW Mobile Device Management (MDM) provider requirements and configuration profiles provided by HQ AMC EFB Program Office
  • Experience initiating EUSA device operating system updates as approved by DISA and configuration profiles provided by HQ AMC EFB Program Office
  • Ability to review audit logs for unauthorized access and/or configuration changes on EFB and EUSA devices
